- Union
workers are 52 percent more likely to have job-provided health care than nonunion
workers.
- Union members are three times more
likely than nonmembers to have traditional pensions with guaranteed payments based
upon years of service and income.
- Union workers are
50 percent more likely to have paid personal leave, and they typically get three
more days a year of paid vacation than nonunion workers.
- The
weekly median pay of union workers ($886) is 28 percent higher than the weekly
median earnings of nonunion workers ($691).
- The union
advantage for pay is 43 percent for Latinos in unions, 28 percent for African
Americans and 6 percent for Asian Americans.
- The
median earnings of unionized women are 32 percent higher than the pay of non-union
women workers.
