Local president and chancellor tour schools

Local 372 President Shaun D. Francois I joined Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña and Public Advocate Letitia James to welcome students on their first day of classes at the Renaissance School of the Arts, a middle school in East Harlem, and the Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies High School in the Bronx.

“I’m honored to join the chancellor in welcoming our kids to a new school year,” Francois said following his Sept. 9 visit to the Bronx high school. “I look forward to creating a stronger partnership between our members and the Dept. of Education so we can make this an outstanding year for everyone involved.”
