The District Council 37 Education Fund and Cornell University’s New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations are pleased to announce that after a one-year hiatus, the Labor Studies Certificate Program for Women is up and running again.

An orientation session for January classes will take place at DC 37 headquarters, 125 Barclay St., in Manhattan on Wed., Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. in Room 12 (basement).

The program is now composed of six courses of three credits each (total 18 credits), and consists of three trimesters per academic year.

All applicants must have a high school or equivalency diploma.

The results of a reading and writing assessment test and a personal interview will determine acceptance into the program. The curriculum will consist of courses in labor studies with a focus on working women. Students will attend classes at DC 37 and at the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, 16 East 34th Street, New York, NY.
