PAC in holiday food drive on Nov. 17

In keeping with the holiday spirit of giving to the less fortunate, DC 37's Political Action and Legislation Committee has teamed up with the 57th Assembly District Democratic Organization to sponsor a community food drive.

All of the food collected will be donated to food pantries in Brooklyn's 57th A.D. for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

"Members who can are invited to bring canned and other nonperishable foods to Room 408 at the union through Nov. 16," said DC 37 Political Action Director Wanda Williams.

The drive will be held at the Teen Challenge Center, 444 Clinton Ave. (between Greene and Gates Avenues), from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Other sponsors include District Leader Olanike Alabi and the United Federation of Teachers.
