9/11 volunteers and workers:

Register now to protect your right to workers’ compensation benefits

Go to www.dc37.net or call 212-815-1685.

If you did paid or unpaid rescue, recovery or clean-up work in Lower Manhattan during the year after 9/11, you may be eligible for medical and wage replacement benefits — but only if you register on time with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board!

If you lived or volunteered in clean-up areas anywhere in Lower Manhattan, south of Canal or Pike Streets; on the barge to Staten Island; at the S.I. landfill, or at the city morgue. And you were exposed or your claim has been denied or you have filed a successful claim but haven’t filed a Workers’ Compensation claim, you need to REGISTER!

Registering now will preserve your right to file a Workers’ Compensation claim for a 9/11-related disorder—no matter when it develops in the future.

But you must act soon.

Registration closes on August 14, 2007.

If you miss this deadline, you will not be eligible for benefits or medical care provided by Workers’ Comp.
