On Jan. 8, at 6 p.m., the DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee invites union members to “experience Christmas breeze from the islands” and “feel the island Yuletide warmth” through stories, poetry, music and comedy produced by E. Wayne McDonald of Brooklyn’s Caribbean Cultural Theater.

Tickets are $15, and proceeds will go toward helping DC 37 members apply for U.S. citizenship. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call 212-815-1420.

February is Black History Month, and DC 37’s annual celebration will last from opening night on Feb. 1 through Finale Night, Feb. 26, with Family Day on Saturday, Feb. 6, and cultural programs sponsored by DC 37 locals throughout the month. The DC 37 Irish Heritage Committee will hold its annual celebration March 5 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. On March 12, the committee will be selling Irish soda bread and glasses, and on March 17 they will march in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
