DC 37 recognizes employees for achievements, attendance, longevity

DC 37 acknowledged the many years of service and dedication of its employees Dec. 9 at the union's annual employee recognition program.

"Our members are fortunate that they have such a great staff working on their behalf," said DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts. "And I know they appreciate you as much as I do."

Honored with plaques and certificates for completing 40 years of service were Public Employee Press Art Director Alyce G. Archer, Information Technology Dept. Data Entry Staff Supervisor Auriel Henderson and Education Fund Teacher Rosa Knight.

Violeta Antonio of the Health and Security Plan, Tommy Chan of IT, Deborah Guglielmino of the Professional Division, Gail Schelsser from Disablity and Acting Research and Negotiations Director Evelyn Seinfeld were honored for 35 years of service.

Some 111 employees received commemorative pins as they were honored for reaching 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service. Mirtha T. Chouhan and Guillermina E. Mejia were honored for academic achievement, and 66 employees received perfect attendance certificates.

"I'm very proud of each and every one of you and I hope that in the New Year you continue to work hard, because the members need you," said Roberts. "I know this has been a difficult year and next year might be even more difficult but our members depend on you and your dedication."
