Small pay boosts this month

Thousands of DC 37 members this month will see increases in their longevity payments, assignment differentials, uniform allowances and other "additions to gross" that they receive on top of their base pay.

Members in mayoral agencies will receive the rate increase and retroactive pay on the items on Dec. 9, except for the uniform allowance, which will go up in the Dec. 23 paycheck.

At the Health and Hospitals Corp., the uniform allowance will kick in Dec. 9. The rate increase and retro pay for all other increases will be in the Dec. 23 paycheck.

"Additions to gross" cover such items as uniform, licenses, equipment and transportation allowances; assignment and shift differentials; service increments and longevity differentials; assignment level increases; and extra pay for experience, certification and education.
