DC 37 membership records manager retires

WELL WISHES for Pat Washington (seated) with (from left) Associate Director Oliver Gray, Local 154 President Juan Fernandez, Local 768 President Fitz Reid, the staff from Membership Records Dept. and DC 37 Controller Alvin Warshaviak.

After more than 29 years of dedicated service at Council 37, Pat Washington, manager of DC 37 Membership Records, retired.

Washington started working for the union on the switchboard, and she became a clerk in Membership Records in 1985.

Later she was promoted to department manager where she was responsible for maintaining members' information.

As the union transitioned to computer technology, she transferred information from members' union cards into the DC 37 computerized database of records.

"I really love working for DC 37; it is the only place I ever wanted to work," Washington said.
