Five staffers reach 35-year milestone

DC 37 employees were honored for their years of service and educational achievements at the annual holiday party. Among those acknowledged were employees who have worked at the union for 35 years. José Alamo, Cynthia Keyes-Padilla, Rosalina D. Pita, Barbara Halper and Ellen Maxley were recipients of a special plaque for reaching the 35-year mark.

Elected officials and local presidents also joined the Dec. 10 holiday celebration at union headquarters. Public Advocate Letitia James, Comptroller Scott Stringer, state Attorney General Eric Scheiderman, former DC 37 member and State Sen. Diane Sevino, and Mayor Bill de Blasio joined Executive Director Henry Garrido to honor the employees and celebrate the holiday season.
