February is Black History Month

Black History Month at the union

Ribbon Cutting and Local 154 Tribute to Rosa Parks

The DC 37 Black History Committee (BHC) invites union members to attend the 25th annual celebration of Black History Month. Opening night in the Galleria will feature soul-stirring drummers and refreshments will be served. After the ribbon-cutting, Local 154 will present the Tribute to Rosa Parks, in Room 1.

Family Day including UNCF College Program

The BHC will sponsor Family Day at DC 37 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. including a United Negro College Fund college information program for high school students, fun activities for youngsters, including story telling, games and face painting, and interactive workshops for parents and their children.

The BHC will host a finale celebrating African American culture with live drummers, entertainment and refreshments.
