Employee Press DC
37 recognizes staff contributions In a room decked out as a sparkling winter wonderland
on Dec. 11, DC 37 Human Resources Director Amy Kadlub got the unions annual
employee recognition program off to a good start: Many of you have forged
special bonds and so many of you have gone the extra mile, she said.
Speaking
of the 2008 honorees, DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts said they are the
people who really make this great organization work and we truly appreciate them.
The
long and dedicated service of employees who reached 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and
40 years of service in 2008 was recognized, and for the first time the program
included a special tip of the hat to new employees.
Additionally, employees
were honored for academic achievement as well as perfect attendance for the year.
Sam
Miller from the DC 37 print shop and Sarah Williams-Harrigan from the DC 37 Education
Fund, who began teaching at the union in 1968, marked a rare 40 years of service
to the union.
This year, the union will hold its 25th employee recognition
ceremony. | |
