Drowning in debt?

If you are being sued, if debt collectors are calling, or if you feel overwhelmed by debts, don't wait:

1) Call DC 37's Municipal Employees Legal Services at 212-815-1111. It's free for covered members of District Council 37.

2. Seek free one-on-one financial counseling at a New York City Financial Empowerment Center. Call 311 or visit www.nyc.gov/ProtectYourMoney.

3. Stay away from debt settlement companies! They will only collect high fees and leave you worse off.
