Services: Cutback in daycare expansion slots.

Social Services: Reduction of 250 positions by introducing automation throughout
the agency.

Public Health: Elimination of
100 positions. Elimination of the HHC-run Outpatient Medication program. Reduction
by restructuring administrative support and staffing levels at Family Health clinics.
Delayed startup of Infant Mortality Program, termination of the Tobacco Control
Program, transfer of the Integrated Pest Control Management program to Housing
Authority and a freeze in current staffing levels in the School Health Program.

Transportation: Reduction of 10 full-time Assistant
City Highway Repairer positions, replacing them with seasonal ACHRs.

Parks: Reduction of 51 full-time positions through
attrition. Budget reductions from not filling 6-month seasonal City Park Worker
positions and substituting workers from HRA's Parks Opportunity Program for former
welfare recipients.

Libraries: Combined cut
of $39.3 million to the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library and Queens
Borough Public Library systems.

Cultural Affairs:
Dept. of Cultural Affairs budget reduction of $9.7 million in FY 2002 and $19.1
million in FY 2003.

CUNY: Hiring freeze that
would eliminate 46 non-teaching positions.

HHC: Elimination
of Acupuncture Program, Coney Island Community Health Center and Inpatient Discharge
Medication Program. Termination of deficit funding to six Diagnostic and Treatment
Centers.
