Money does grow on a tree when the Blue Collar Division makes it happen

Every December the reps and other staff of the DC 37 Blue Collar Division celebrate the holiday season by raising money for a charitable cause. Donors decorate their office holiday tree with cash contributions to be given to a chosen charity.

This year the tree was loaded with more than $300 that was donated for Alzheimer’s research.

DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts applauded the generosity of the staff and the annual holiday tradition that has generated thousands of dollars in donations and even more in goodwill.

“This is the true spirit of the holiday,” she said, as she joined Blue Collar Division Director José Sierra, and staff at the cash-laden tree. “People always receive more than they give when they dedicate their hard-earned dollars toward helping others.”

Last year the division raised funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Memphis, Tenn., hospital founded by the late actor Danny Thomas (father of Marlo) in 1962.
