Employee Press Union Scrapbook Speed
and quality patient care earn award for Harlem EMS unit
In recognition
of their exemplary service, Emergency Medical Technicians Brendan Lovett, Luis
Depena and Henry Cabrera, who work out of Emergency Medical Service Station 16
at Harlem Hospital, were awarded the Unit of the Month citation for November 2008.
The
three EMTs, members of Local 2507, Uniformed EMTs and Paramedics of the NYC Fire
Dept., were honored Jan. 22 at their station. At the ceremony, Chief of EMS John
Peruggia presented individual certificates and citation ribbons to the three for
their outstanding work.
Capt. Stephen Russo, a member of Uniformed EMS
Officers Local 3621, received a unit citation to post in the station. The
key factors that earned the unit this award were their quick response time and
excellent patient care, said Russo, who recommended the EMTs for the award.
We
are extremely proud of our members who work diligently to save lives in the city
each and every day of the year, said Local 2507 President Patrick Bahnken.
All New Yorkers should be equally proud. | |
