The DC 37 Irish Heritage Committee will hold its annual celebration March 5 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. On March 12, the committee will sell Irish soda bread and glasses in the union lobby, and on March 17 they will march in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. March is Women’s History Month, and the SSEU Local 371 Women’s Committee will present a Women’s History Month program at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10 at Local 371, 817 Broadway, 12th floor. Dr. Anafidelia Travares of the cancer prevention program at the city Health Dept. will speak about cervical cancer and related illnesses. The DC 37 Women’s Committee will hold its annual Women’s History Month celebration March 18 at 6 p.m. For more information, call 212-815-1989.

The DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee is offering a program on the contributions of Caribbean women at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 26, at DC 37. The event will include talks by a group of distinguished Caribbean women, who will examine contributions in religion, law, health, education, politics, government and women’s issues.
