40-year IT staffer bids farewell to DC 37


Co-workers paid tribute to long-time DC 37 employee Vincent Louie at a retirement party on Dec. 11.

Hosted by Louie's colleagues from the union's Information Technology Dept., the gathering included a surprise visit from his family.

Louie spent over 40 years working for the union, starting out at DC 37's previous headquarters at 365 Broadway in the 1970s.

He began his career at DC 37 as a computer operator. He became a programmer trainee and worked his way up to the title of computer application designer, a senior level position.
