Free tax preparation available

In 2014, DC 37 helped more than 4,000 members get $10 million in refunds for free.

If you (and your spouse) earn less than the income ceilings below, or if you are eligible for free or reduced price lunch programs, you may qualify for this free tax filing assistance (spouse's income must be included if you are filing jointly). To be eligible you must be:

• Married, or head of household with dependents under 18 and a total family income under $53,000.
• Single, no dependents: Under $20,000.

New York City also offers free online tax preparation for city residents who earned less than $60,000 in 2014.
