The DC 37 Citizenship Committee and the unions Immigration Program presented a forum March 2 on the LIFE law, which could lead to legal status for as many as one-half million immigrants. Speakers stressed the April 30 filing deadline, explained that the new law is not an amnesty, and pointed out that members can get assistance by calling the Immigration Program at (212) 341-4700.
