As the United States redefines its national and global
priorities while grappling with an epic economic crisis, the College of New
Rochelle will hold a forum on President Barack Obamas foreign policy
initiatives on Friday, April 24, in Room 200. Titled President Obama and
U.S. Foreign Policy: Realpolitik or Idealism? the discussion will be the
third in the Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Roundtable Series, which is presented
by CNRs DC 37 Campus to expose students and the union community to currentaffairs

The
DC 37 Citizenship Committee will hold its 2nd annual Citizenship and Immigration
Forum on Wednesday, April 22. Presentations will be made by the city comptrollers
office, the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, the New York Civic Participation
Project, private attorneys and the unions Municipal Employees Legal Service.

65th anniversary
events: June 13 DC 37 turns 65 this year, and the planned events
include a performance of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater on Saturday, June 13, at
the Brooklyn Academy of Music. A limited number of discounted tickets will be
sold in the DC 37 lobby from 5:30 to 7 p.m., April 15 through May 15. Rear Mezzanine
seats will be $40 (reduced from $55) and balcony seats $13 (reduced from $25)
