The Code of Ethical Practices in the DC 37 Constitution requires officers and managerial employees of DC 37 and any local or any fund to honestly serve the best interests of the membership.
It prohibits:

(1) Personal financial interests inconsistent with their fiduciary duties to the membership or benefit funds.

(2) Accepting a gift of greater than nominal value from an employer or vendor.

(3) Converting union funds or property to personal use or advantage.

(4) Serving as an officer or managerial employee if ever convicted of certain felonies.
