The Education Committee will hold a scholarship fundraiser, “An Evening of Jazz, Rhythm and Blues,” on May 8 at the South Street Seaport’s elegant Sequoia Restaurant on Pier 17 from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is $100. For information please call Chair Shirley A. Williams at 212-815-1219.

The Health and Nutrition Committee will present the film “Super Size Me” on May 19 at 6 p.m.

This year’s DC 37 Jewish Heritage Committee program will be a celebration of Israel’s 60th anniversary, which is scheduled at union headquarters for Thursday, June 5, in Room 1, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The celebration will include lively music, kosher food and guest speakers.

To kick off Gay Pride month, the DC 37 LAGIC committee will host a tribute to founding member Regina Shavers at its opening reception on Friday, June 6, beginning at 6 p.m.

The DC 37 Asian Heritage Committee will hold its annual celebration at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 6.

The Latino Heritage Committee is organizing a DC 37 contingent to march in this year’s Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday June 8.

DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee invites all members and their families to their annual gala on Saturday June 14 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Grand Prospect Hall in Brooklyn. Tickets are $80. To purchase tickets and for more information call 212-815-1420.
