May is Labor History Month, with interesting events and exhibits all over town. For a complete listing, pick up a free copy of the attractive calendar issued by the New York Labor History Association in the DC 37 Education Fund Library, Room 211 at DC 37, or call George Altomare at 212-598-7772.

The DC 37 Asian Heritage Committee will hold its annual celebration May 18. The program will include a prominent keynote speaker, cultural performers from many countries and a variety of Asian cuisines. For more information call Co-chair Bhagwatie Dwarika at 212-815-1684.

The DC 37 Jewish Heritage Committee's annual celebration on May 24 will feature entertainment including Klezmer music, speakers and kosher food. For more information call Committee Chair Dr. Leonard Davidman at 212-423-7309.

On May 31, DOT Supervisory Employees Local 1157 President Michael Coppola will sponsor a golf-outing fundraiser to honor the memory of the late Nick Antico, a Highway Repairer who was killed in 2005 while repairing a road on Staten Island. Proceeds will benefit Antico's young daughter, Arianna. For information on tickets and to make donations, please call Michael Coppola at 347-620-8141.

The Lesbian and Gay Issues Committee will hold a ribbon-cutting June 1 to kick off Gay Pride Month. For more information call LAGIC Co-chair Valentin Colon at 212-815-1930.
