DC 37 boosts Richardson in Assembly race

Newly-elected New York State Assembly member Diana Richardson celebrated her special election victory in Brooklyn's 43rd State Assembly District on May 5.

DC 37 campaigned hard for Richardson, who won decisively in a heavily-contested race.

The union's legendary "Green Machine" had nearly 200 enthusiastic volunteers knocking on over 2,000 doors and making some 3,000 phone calls.

Our role was vital in ensuring a sizable turnout from our membership on her behalf. DC 37 Retirees and several locals (including Locals 372, 420, 461, 508, 1407, 1549) worked hard in the field for Ms. Richardson.
