A proud DC 37's Retiree daughter: A stellar educator recognized for her work


Dr. Barbara Gaba, daughter of Johnnie Ekpo, associate treasurer of the DC 37 Retirees Association, was honored by the National Council of Negro Women in New Jersey on March 14.

Dr. Gaba was the recipient of the Education Excellence award at the NCNW's 10th annual Harambee Breakfast.

Dr. Gaba is the provost and assistant vice president for academic affairs at Union County College in Elizabeth, N.J.
