Retiree artist gains congressional recognition

Sydney James, a former Eligibility Specialist and member of Local 1549, received a special congressional recognition certificate from U.S. Congressman Jose Serrano, who represents the 15th District.

James, who is now retired and lives in the Bronx, created a special collage in honor of President Barack Obama and sent it to Serrano.

James spends his spare time working on his photography and taking evening classes at DC 37. He recently completed two computer classes and a photograph class at the union.
