Union comes to the members

The DC 37 Organizing Dept. spent most of the month of April reaching out to members who work for the New York City Housing Authority.

Organizers joined representatives from the DC 37 Municipal Employees Housing Program, Municipal Employees Legal Services, Health & Security Plan and the Personal Services Unit to help explain the many services available to union members.

Naseem Mohammed was one of the dozens of members who took advantage of the union's visit. "It's a great idea to have the union come to the members," said the Local 957 member.

The Organizing Dept. visited members at NYCHA headquarters in lower Manhattan. Organizers spoke to members during lunch hours, Monday through Friday as part of their "We Are Here All Week," campaign.
