June is Caribbean Heritage Month, and the DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee will start things in style with a ribbon-cutting ceremony June 2 at 6 p.m. in the gallery at DC 37. For information, call Carmen Charles at 212-815-1420 or Denis Ifill at 212-815-1060.

LAGIC, DC 37’s Lesbian and Gay Issues Committee will kick off Gay Pride Month at 6 p.m. June 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the first floor at DC 37. For information, call Committee Chair Judith Arroyo at 212-815-1436.

DC 37’s Municipal Employees Housing Program will present its annual Housing Fair June 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information and a registration coupon, see page 27.

Sept. 12:
The DC 37 Education Committee will hold its annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon, 1-6 p.m.

Sept. 13: The DC 37 Latino Heritage Committee will celebrate Latino Heritage Month, starting with an opening night program on Sept. 13 and concluding with a finale event Oct. 8.

Oct. 2: The DC 37 Women’s Committee will hold a conference. More information will be in later issues of the PEP.

Oct. 10: Fright Fest at Six Flags, sponsored by DC 37’s Public Service Employees Care Foundation. Tickets will go on sale at the union in July. See July-Aug. PEP for information on this fun event and more information on getting your tickets.

Oct. 16: DC 37 Italian Heritage Committee will hold its annual Dinner Dance at Russo’s On the Bay. More information will be in later issues of the PEP.
