- Public
Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality is the voluntary political
action fund of DC 37’s parent union, the American Federation of State,
County and Municipal Employees
- PEOPLE dollars back candidates who
understand the needs of working families. PEOPLE funds also support AFSCME’s
lobbying efforts on issues such as saving Social Security, a Medicare prescription
drug benefit and the fight against privatization.
- By joining PEOPLE,
you agree to have a contribution subtracted from your paycheck. By contributing
$2 or more per pay period, you automatically become a member of the VIP Club.
VIP gifts include a jacket and pin (1st year), pen and pencil set (2nd year),
sweatshirt (3rd year), a fifth-year jacket, a tenth-year polo shirt and a 15th-year
jacket.
