2011 Labor Day Parade 10 a.m., Saturday September 10, 2011 DC 37 location to be announced March with the labor movement to save Social Security, Medicare, jobs, pay and pensions

Unless otherwise indicated, all events listed are at District Council 37, 125 Barclay St., New York, NY in Lower Manhattan.

The DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee will hold its eighth annual Jump Up on Friday, Aug. 26 from 6 p.m. until midnight. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information, please call Jump Up Coordinator Local 374 President Cuthbert Dickenson at 212-815-1060.

The DC 37 Education Fund will celebrate its 40th anniversary in September with a display starting in the ground floor gallery area and flowing up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Save the date, Sept. 10, for your opportunity to be part of labor's fightback against the attacks on Social Security, Medicare, pay, pensions and public services. Plan to join the annual New York City Labor Day parade up Fifth Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 10 (kickoff time 10 a.m.). For more information check the September PEP or contact your local president.
