DC 37 reopens 125 Barclay Street entrance

Closed since 9/11, the 125 Barclay St. entrance to District Council 37 headquarters, near the corner of West St. and one block north of Ground Zero, reopened July 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Above from left are DC 37 Secretary Cliff Koppelman, Real Estate Manager Ralph Pepe, Treasurer Maf Misbah Uddin, President Veronica Montgomery-Costa and Executive Director Lillian Roberts.

“With this reopening, we mark a spirit of healing and moving forward from the tragic events of September 11, 2001,” said Roberts. Hundreds of DC 37 members worked in the rescue and recovery efforts after the disaster, and four gave their lives that day.
