All events are at DC 37 headquarters, 125 Barclay St. in Lower Manhattan and begin at 6 p.m. unless specified otherwise.

The DC 37 Latino Heritage Committee will kick off Latino Heritage Month with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Sept. 7. The month of cultural celebrations will be dedicated to the unsung DC 37 heroes of the 9/11 tragedy.

Events include Open Mic Night on Sept. 9, celebrations sponsored by Local 420 on Sept. 16 and by Local 371 on Sept. 23, a "Protecting our Families" workshop on Sept. 26 and a grand finale sponsored by Locals 372 and 1549 on Oct. 7. SAVE THESE DATES: The committee will celebrate Puerto Rican Heritage Week with an opening program Nov. 14 and a finale Nov. 18.
