U.S.: Go into business Dear Lillian Roberts, You and your union have done so much for our workers and retirees like me, a retiree, 93 years old. I think our government should start big businesses of their own here. We have hardly any industry here and of course hardly any jobs. The government can hire millions of people here and outshine the morons who are sending jobs to other countries, and the government can make money, too. Also we can create more union members. We can hire people who sell, sew, do office jobs, etc. The government could do this incognito, so the few companies we have left here can't complain. I can't do anything, but maybe you can. I would love to see our wonderful country come back. — Shirley Gayer Contract - Hallelujah! We have a contract - finally. Congratulations to Lillian Roberts and the Negotiating Committee. I voted YES to ratify the deal, because it includes retroactive pay for the many years Bloomberg kept us without increases. Hallelujah! And also a way to knock down the 1-in-3 rule that has been used to keep so many minority women out of higher-level jobs. Hallelujah again! — Sarah Green | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
