Hospital honors
role of members
“It’s nice to know that
we’re appreciated,” said Shop Steward Gail Fishbein, a Dental
Hygienist, as Brooklyn’s Woodhull Medical Center celebrated its 2nd
annual Labor Appreciation Day, Sept. 11.
“It is important for both labor and management to understand and
salute the role our members play in providing top quality health care
at Woodhull and in every hospital,” said DC 37 Field Services Director
Barbara Ingram-Edmonds.
Members of a dozen locals, including DC 37 Locals 420, 768, 2627, 1549
and 371, attended the ceremony, which was sponsored by the Labor Caucus
of the Joint Labor Management Committee, DC 37 and its parent union AFSCME
and the HHC/QWL Productivity Committee.
“Today we recognize your hard work and dedication to the North Brooklyn
Health Network, its patients and the community we serve,” said Senior
Vice President Lynda D. Curtis.
