Join the DC 37 Caribbean Heritage Committee for their Pre-Labor Day Carnival “Jump Up” Fundraiser Friday, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to midnight at 125 Barclay St. Tickets: $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For tickets and information call 212-815-1420.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, DC 37 will join in the NYC Central Labor Council Labor Day Parade up Fifth Ave. For details contact your local, look for flyers in the union lobby and check the DC 37 Web site or hotline.

This year, DC 37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts will be a Grand Marshal of the 39th African American Day Parade on Sunday, Sept. 21, starting at 1 p.m. All members and their families are welcome. Additional information will be available after the Labor Day Parade.

The Latino Heritage Committee will soon honor military vets, and Chair Santos Crespo asks members who have served to send photos of themselves in uniform (label with name, rank, local and conflict or date and place of service) to him at 125 Barclay St., Room 650, New York, NY 10007.
