City & State magazine honors staffers

DC 37 Assistant Associate Director Jahmila Joseph was selected by City and State magazine as one of 40 New Yorkers under 40 who are considered promising political leaders in the state.

Joseph is featured in the special annual issue with a full page biography and photo along with the other 39 promising political leaders.

"It's an honor to be included in this distinguished group of people," said Joseph.

Prior to joining DC 37 two years ago, Joseph was working at the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators when then Public Advocate Bill de Blasio offered her a job in his office.

Erica Vargas, Assistant Director in the Political Action Dept., was also honored in the spring issue of City and State as one of 25 young women in their annual Above and Beyond issue.
