DC 37 walks the line with Verizon strikers

In a show of union strength and solidarity, DC 37 Executive Director Henry Garrido and activists joined the picket line of communications workers embroiled in a battle for jobs and wages against Verizon, outside its headquarters in Lower Manhattan on April 25.

Forty-thousand members of the Communication Workers of America union walked off the job April 15 after contract negotiations with Verizon broke down. Verizon's consolidated earnings in 2015 were $132 billion, 50 percent more than 2014.
